Easter with the whole family

Easter has become just about as big of a deal (celebration wise) as Christmas in our family. We all know the religious side of the holidays, but being together as a family and celebrating just makes it that much better. We held the annual egg hunt for the kids, and sadly, Derek has officially become too old to participate. Nela, Brayden, Hanna and Von had a blast!

I'm trying to figure out how many dozens of eggs we hid in the basement. I know I took four dozen, Tammy two, Wendy one and a bagful from Mom and Aunt Barb. That was a lot of eggs for four kids in one basement. It was a lot of fun watching them collect them all.

I know for a fact Nela picked up one on her own, I'm not sure how many cousin Wendy helped get.

Here's Uncle Paul and Aunt Mary with Nela. She ate so much food that night that she had to sleep with me and Kujo all night because she kept waking up crying.

A yawn between meals.

Mary and Paul give Von his basket. As he opened his eggs from the hunt all you could hear softly was "Awesome."

He loved the marshmallow peeps.

Here's Nela walking in her pretty dress.

And she's just too pretty not to take pictures of

Grandma and her girls.

Nela eating again.

We also celebrated Uncle Larry's birthday, here's the guys on the couch.

Brad breaks down the financial rules of marriage to Kujo. In short he told him it's all mine.

Here's Wendy and Nela. Sorry Wendy, this was the best one, the others were blurry ... and dark for some reason.
