Big win!

It took all basketball season but I finally got one of Saquore that I love. Yes it was grainy, yes there was blur, but yes, it overall was a good shot (to me anyway)

That's Air Saquore by the net. No he wasn't going for a dunk, he was just flying in hopes of keeping a ball out of the basket.

It was nice to get a shot of Saquore that wasn't blurry and wasn't his butt.

Brittany continues to find suckers to give to Nela at the games. Ann and the kids know I don't give them much candy (the boys never had a sucker until they were left in her hands out of my sight) so they're sure to spoil Nela whenever they can. Why would I give her candy when she eats everything.

Here's Nela and Ann.

Rolland and Libby

Rolland is a little ladies man. When he's not hanging out with the girls at the game, he's watching the cheerleaders and doing the cheers with them.

Mall trip

Just a couple pictures of me and Nela and mom and Nela during a break of shopping this weekend.

Hopefully it doesn't look stressful

So, it's Saturday morning and I wanted to wake up, get the kids dressed and do a little photo session.

It's really difficult to get a good shot of the three where they all look cute.

But we didn't do so bad. I thought I had maybe one or two, but I wanted more.

So that I could have a choice of poses.

Then the fussyness began.

And Von stuck his finger in Nela's mouth (although I didn't realize this while I was shooting)

So the rest of the shoot Von was upset because his finger hurt.

And Nela wasn't having it anymore either.

Following Nela

I followed Nela around this morning with the camera at hand. Wondering if I'd catch her doing anything special.

I got a couple good smiles but only these four decent shots out of 162 taken.

and of course, this one was blurry, but just look at that face.

and look at that face. She's always mesmorized when daddy makes googly faces at her.

Yummy!

Brittany brought a big sucker to the basketball game tonight.

and Nela loved it
and Brittany loved it too.
This was from Monday's game. The boys had candy that turned their tongue's colors.

And here's the best shot of Saquore that I could get with my crappy camera. He did make the point.

Freeze! It's the police cowboy

Von had a good time at his dad's house over Christmas break. He came home with a box of costumes.
It was a lot of laughs for me.
And he even shared with Nela a little.

Game highlights, in high definition blur

I took the kids to watch Saquore play basketball Monday after work. I took pictures about the whole time, but the only ones that came in clear were the ones in the stands.

See the yellow, Central Gym is aweful for taking pictures.

and only when they were perfectly still did the pictures come in clear with a yellow tint.

but every other shot was blurry. But if you look close, this would have been an awesome shot of Saquore making a basket. Where are all the other players you ask ... they're at the other end of the court :.)

The seventh-grade team has a really great coach. He's taught the boys how to work together as a team on the court so there's not just one outstanding player on the court. But myself and Ann will always secretly have one player stand out above the rest.

And I'm a real sport parent. Since Saquore lives out in the country, he wanted to have his Basketball door sign put on my door so people can see it. You know what it is, the signs the cheerleaders paint with their name and jersey number on it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just drive by and look at my front door! Go Skins!

Eating with daddy

I thought this was just too darn cute, Kujo and Nela eating their beans and plantains.

Nela is such a good eater. I don't think she's tried a thing she didn't like.

I believe she was eating this time just after she finished her real meal.

Have you seen this face?

It looks so much prettier in color, but have you caught this picture in the paper lately? Nela is starring in a promo ad for the Babies of 2007.

Kujo and the boys

Kujo finally started nursing school. It's been nice through the week because he's home more than he was before since he's only working weekends now. He does a lot of studying, but he does take that family time out that we all love.

...sure, sometimes we can get on each others nerves (LOL, just kidding, watching those glasses will ya)

but the bonding time is wonderful for everyone.

Glasses for Brayden

I was a bit behind but I took Brayden to the eye doctor for the first time last month. They said his vision close up was good, but far away was not so good. So ... he got glasses.

I am so proud at how responsible he's been with them. He takes them off at gym class or when he's being rough (OK, at least he tells me he does), and at bedtime they always go in the case. This weekend may be the exception. He had a sleep over with Ann, James and the kids and his case was in the car.

This is kind of a goofy photo but he really looks cute in the glasses. He reminds me of my nephew Derek when he was little with glasses.

For parents of young ones, keep this in mind because you don't hear it too often, but kids should go to the eye doctor before school. I can't believe he's 7 and just now went. He's been going to the dentist since he was a year old.

Downed computer

My computer is not really down, but it's a at the shop getting more memory and the Kodak Easyshare program off of it. I tried to uninstall it myself, with no luck. I actually never had luck getting it loaded properly. The repair man said it took about two hours to get it off the computer. Lucky for me, Kujo has a laptop that I can keep in touch with. Sadly, I need my other computer to download my camera. I should have lots of pictures to upload when I get it back. I know, that's a shocker to everyone, me taking pictures, and a lot of them.

Everyone is doing well in the household. Brayden got glasses, Von returned from a weeklong visit with his dad and sisters, Nela's loving table food, Kujo started nursing school, and me, well I'm just fabulous and loving married life.

For my friends and family who read my blog that live in the area, Nela's picture has been running in an ad in the paper for Babies of 2007. Check it out. Kujo and I had our wedding announcement in the Dec. 30 paper.

As I sit here, I just remembered I didn't take a picture of my new bathroom floor (thanks Mom and Dad). We had the carpet taken out and vinyl put in. We love it. The kids just get the floor too wet at bathtime to have carpet. It's so easy now to dry it up with a towel and not have to walk on soggy carpet the rest of the night. My next step is painting and then eventually having my old neighbor tile the shower.

I'm out, it's almost time for Wheel of Fortune.
