This week in review

It was a busy week. I uploaded the pictures backwards so everyone can see the most recent stuff first (and so that it doesn't start off again with sports practices). Here's Brad with Hanna on his shoulders. We all waited Derek and Lauren's arrival to Coshocton's prom on Saturday.

All the kids waited too.

This is a shot taken by Brayden using Grandma's camera. Not bad.

This is my camera, turned out a little dark.

Here's a picture mom took of Lauren and Derek at Roscoe Village.

Now we're at the soccer game before the rain.

Just a funny look from Nela that I liked.

I was the snack mom for the soccer game and I made a couple extra bags for the fans.

Von got in trouble at day care, so at Brayden's baseball practice I had him draw a picture and tell me what happened. He's not a great artist yet but he told me everyone who was in the picutre, and the block he hit the teacher with really did look like a block in the picture.

It was picture day. I ordered a magnet of Brayden and took the liberty of shooting my own team picture.

Here's Brayden playing.

Here he is running to get a towel. You may have to look hard since the picture is small, but it is pouring down rain.

Here we are at baseball practice.

The ball is by the other kid's glove .. notice where Brayden's glove is in comparison.

He's starting to get a manlier throw. He needs a little more practice.

Guess what? More baseball practice pics

Kujo went to practice Tuesday night so I was able to roam a little more to get some better, closer upper shots. Brayden was waiting for his turn to bat and gave me a smile in his helmet.

I was right up there as you can see. I'm very happy with this and a couple other action shots.

The county prosecutor is one of his coaches and he was pitching these balls.

Not sure how Brayden does it, but his little body and bend in so many directions at once.

The kids brought the soccer ball along and Kujo was showing them how soccer is done in Africa.

Here he is toting Nela around. Daddy let her run and play soccer too.

This is a shot Brayden took today. After work, soccer was canceled so me and the kids loaded up the stroller and walked up to mom and dad's house for supper.

Please, let me explain

It wasn't until after I saved this picture that I realized some of you may be picking up your phone to call protective services. But before you do, let me explain. The van wasn't moving. The van wasn't even on. We were sitting in the van having a snack while Brayden was doing his baseball hitting camp. Don't you love how Von and Nela both have the same rotten grin!

Baseball Hitting Camp

It was another cold and rainy day today for Brayden's baseball hitting camp at Lake Park. It cleared up about 30 minutes into the two-hour event.

Saquore's scrimmage

It was a cold and rainy Saturday evening for Saquore's scrimmage and these are the only crappy shots I got with my camera. I used Ann's better camera for most of the game so hopefully shot got some good ones. It was exciting because Saquore played catcher for part of the game and we could get closer up shots than usual since he's usually in the outfield.
He hit a homerun, but this wasn't it. Hopefully Ann's camera has a good action shot of him hitting the ball.
And here's Brittany sporting her new hair style with Tanishe and friend Brie in the background.

Soccer fun

Here's some shots from Saturday's game. I don't think they need much explaination.

I'm loving it

Brayden's soccer and baseball practices have been consuming most of our evenings. I don't mind, I get to capture these moments ...

First baseball practice ... ever

I can't tell you how proud I am of Brayden. Tonight was his very first baseball practice (this is his first time ever playing) and he did awesome. I was a little worried because we've never tossed a ball around and I figured he'd be the only first year player, but most of the team are first timers and he picked up really quick on everything.

Did I mention his coach is just as awesome as Brayden's soccer coach. He does such a good job with the kids.
Here he is learning to hit...
To my surprise he hit the first ball ... and it was a great hit.

He made it to first with no problem. I can't wait to see him in his little uniform. I kind of like this sports mom thing .. but don't tell too many people.

Accidents happen

Tanishe badly sprained her ankle tonight at her softball game. She was sliding into third when the other team stepped on her foot. She's smiling in this photo while she shows it off, but she is on morphine. She insisted that she go see Saquore race after she was discharged from the hospital. She hobbled around on her crutches .. I'll try to take a picture tomorrow to see if she's still smiling.

Here's Saquore during the 200 meter dash .. his only race I caught Monday. He came in second which I was so excited about. The kid he raced against had the longest legs I've ever seen on a junior high athlete.
Here's Saquore in the next frame.

Here's Saquore with his little girlfriend, Carly. No, Saquore didn't introduce her to me, nor tell me he has a girlfriend, but I will plaster their photos any chance I get.

Be sure to check out www.buckeyemoms.com. I've joined the forums and have been posting random pictures.
