Taste of Coshocton ... Good!

Thursday was the Taste of Coshocton - The local United Way's kick off to it's annual fundraising campaign. For $10, Brayden, Von and myself ate (OK, we needed two more treats and thanks to Josie's mom and dad we got them). Brayden is pictured eating pretzel nuggets from the Sportzone. They were good, but I've aquired a liking for the nuggets at the Elks and Clarks. Sorry SportZone.

Von's favorite was the DQ ice cream. Brayden's too. They both had two servings.

This is Josie's mom and dad. I don't remember their favorite.

I think it was Serenity Tea House's soup

Nela liked the crackers from CCMH. I couldn't decide between the chicken chimmichanga (is that how you spell that?) from the Yucatan and the creaming chicken soup from Serenity. They were both delicious.

Everything was really good ... it's too bad this event is only held once a year. Perhaps Amy Hasseman, the new director of the United Way, or someone else who needs a fundraiser could take me and Josie's idea ... a spaghetti cookoff. People could go from table to table collecting specialty sauces and sample it on the community pasta bowl. I'd whip up a crock pot full of my sauce for the event .. and I'm sure there are other great cooks and restaurants in the community who have recipies just as good.

People could vote on the best sauce and then there could be side competitions for best garlic bread, hors devours and desserts.
