Tanishe's team victory

Wednesday was the Lady Redskins junior varsity team's first home game, which was victorious! They won 8-5 in a very exciting and annoying game. The other team were loud and continuous chanters which truely got on my nerves. But I'm a very loud and annoying parent, I'm certain of that, so it balanced out. Our favorite chant of theirs was " Here comes Big Fat Katie going to hit it up the middle." Yes, they were talking about one of their teammates, who was a little on the built side, and yes, she hit it up the middle.

Tanishe warming up before the next inning. She plays outfield behind third base. She did awesome! I was so proud and excited (and mad that I didn't have my camera ready) but she caught a ball and made an out. Our chant then was 1, 2, 3.

Here's one of Tanishe at bat. She did get a hit during the game (one was a foul ball which resulted in a player stealing the base adding a point which was super exciting) but when she got to first she ended up tackling the player who was blocking the base.

And here's Alisa Howell, my old neighbor. She left us before the game actually started ... I guess she had better people to watch the game with.
